the single story (blog post 1)

1.) What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?


It's when a person is judgemental about a place like east Austin and they think everyone there is in a gang or something


2.)Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?


I've heard a story about Mexican immigration from Mexico and a story that everyone in the south side of Chicago is a gang banger or is bad in general


3.)Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community? 


i heard a story that allot of people from Mexico try to immigrate to the u.s. and I've noticed when i go to expensive store allot of white people start to look at me weird like im crazy


4.)How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?


it could help them understand the view of the single-story and how it changes the view of people

 I SEE ACHANGE IN HER ATTITUDE BECAUSE AFTER PEOPLE KEPT CYBERBULLING HER SHE WAS ALWAYS WEARING BIG BULKY CLOTHES AND KEEPING TO HER SELF
